Friday night at Boardmasters:
Thousands of what looked like teenagers packed into the Watergate Boardmasters festival for an arvo of sun worship and cool tunes and then an evening of bass line beats!
Having not got home from work until late I missed the legend that is Donovan, gutted…… However I did get to see a whole heap of other acts.
The Ting Tings were awesome and Dj Fresh killed it to end the night.
With another night ahead of tunes, it’ll be a case of running errands first thing to make an arvo beer feel justified!

SURFER’S AT THIS YEARS BOARDMASTERS SURF COMP
Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters in Association with Vans, above all else, is a surf festival. It’s been that way since 1981, when the World Tour first rocked up at Fistral.
All the surfing greats have visited Newquay in their quest to the top. Slater, Curren, Carroll, Occy…
Boardmasters continues to welcome the sickest surfers as the tour comes to Newquay for one week every year. This is the only chance you’ll get to see these guys and learn from the best.
2011 saw a level of surfing neverbefore witnessed in the UK. Double air waves were not uncommon, pushing the envelope sky high.

…2012 will be no different.
On the home front our hopes will be resting on the ever young Russell Winter – 2002 Boardmasters Champion – and Relentless team riders Oli Adams and Jayce Robinson.
Get down to Fistral from 7th August to cheer our boys on. They might just go all the way! Check out which surfers are confirmed so far, with a field of 144 expected there’s loads to come!
